Colleges & Universities

Janet partners with colleges and universities to release into the world students who are equipped to overcome adversity and succeed.

Her mission is to help students rise above this concerning fact which was recently published:

Rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation on college campuses have never been higher. Meanwhile, faculty and staff are overwhelmed.

The above is a result of today’s climate of chaos, uncertainty, and stress. Consequently, the need to address these students’ struggles has become an urgent call.

As an expert in resilience, award-winning author, and international keynote speaker, Janet helps thousands to answer the question: How do I reach peace and success in my world surrounded by pain and chaos?

Janet brings the answer through her own journey from tragedy to triumph—blindness at 30, the murder of her youngest son, and the death of her marriage.

But rather than live as a victim, she soared to personal and professional success on the wings of resilience.

Janet’s compelling story helps students witness the raw reality of life. But more importantly, they discover they too possess the power of resilience, the ability to rise above, and the courage needed to triumph.

With her contagious Latina passion, Janet draws students in with compelling real-life stories. She engages them with unexpected humor and empowers them to ignite their own resilience. Moved and inspired by this truth, their resilience becomes the power that propels them to rise above any adversity, end up stronger than before, and truly become unstoppable.

“Attending your presentation and seeing your genuine happiness and joy despite trials has proved to me that my circumstances do not determine my success. You have given me the encouragement and steps I needed to take so I can finish college.” – Nicole Josey, PBA University
