Have you ever put immense faith in an earthly thing or person? But when it comes to blindly trusting God…a different story, right? Why do we doubt He’ll be ready to take our hand? Why do we have reservations about trusting He’s indeed beside us? Why do we fret, thinking we’re alone with our worries? Why do we hesitate to reach out?
Life would be sweeter and look better if we changed our approach: “I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (Psalm 16:7-8).
Father, I’m trying to increase my trust in you. When life gets complicated, can’t seem to find my way out and the path looks dark, I shall trust in you. I will increase my faith to know your hand is outstretched to guide me and lead me to quiet places. I will believe that you are near me. I shall not be shaken. In Jesus’ name, amen.
