We both carry the white cane. My father and I lost our sight from a hereditary disease of the retina. He was 55 years old and I was 30. But although I inherited the gene from him, I also inherited a passion to overcome. The tenacity to keep going. And the faith to trust in God.

Happy Father’s Day to all of you dads whose example shines, whose love is evident and whose devotion never wanes.
