I admit it. We’re a little wimpy. The temperature reached in the low 40’s here in Orlando. To our chagrin, the heater wasn’t working. So, with cold fingers I dialed the repair guy. Then my computer continued to have the technical flu, another hefty bill. And car troubles followed, and then my son had a car accident.

So, I did what any level-headed gal would do. I praised the Lord. I did because God said to praise Him in all things. And allow me to paraphrase Phil 4:6. It says to stop that temptation to be anxious about that stuff. Instead give thanks. I did. God said to praise Him, I did that too. And He also said to ask. When I did all that, there were no magical solutions to our problems. Instead, peace washed over me. The peace that goes beyond all understanding. The peace that soothes the soul. And the peace that brings sweet rest to our nights.
