Happy Saturday reader!

A note from Janet.

Goodness gracious, dear friends, what’s going on? Are things falling apart? Another stressful month. The stock market plunges, the Texas bombings, tensions around the world. But despite it all, God’s Word asks one question: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:35, 37)

And so with boldness, we hold on to that love that’s ours. We declare that His love brings the power to defeat fear.  We cling to His promise that conquers anxiety. And we count on His goodness. That’s why we can press on, rejoicing and serving Him.

When encouragement visits.

Oh, happy days when Spring is here and flowers bloom. But in the spring of our life, the happiest days are when hope blooms to erase the sorrow.

And with sorrow gone, encouragement visits. It did for me a few weeks back when a women's organization “You are the Future” recognized me for the work I do for the community and for women in general.

As they read the explanation on the plaque, I smiled at God’s way, so faithful, so loving, to bring a blind gal from a sorry dark pit to a place where His love blossoms each day.

The streets of gold.

Weeks have gone by since Billy Graham entered the glory of heaven. He must be celebrating with those whom he showed the way to get there.

Can you imagine the party of all parties that must be going on right now? He resides in the place where the streets of gold are spread in front of the mansions God prepared for us.

And while you and I wait for that day when we’ll be walking on those same streets, we draw from his insights. Let me share one of my favorites:

“God never takes away something from your life without replacing it with something better.” Billy Graham

Waving my hand in the air. I know that’s true; God allowed my blindness to come, but He replaced it with treasures, one of them is you, my dear readers. I live to find ways to inspire and encourage you, to pray for you and to hear from you with ways God is working in your life.

An invitation.

Once in a while we have to clean house. And my team and I did that very thing. My cyberspace home has gone through a spring cleaning and I have prepared rooms of inspirational snacks for your soul. I have videos for your entertainment. And I even have insights that might make you smile. Hop on over to my website and tell me what you think CLICK HERE.

Here's some of what you'll find.

What’s cooking?

I’m about to begin expand the series of “Cooking in the Dark: videos. The ones you find in the current website have garnered sweet comments. I guess most don’t believe that, being totally blind, I can prepare dishes without having to measure a thing. See for yourself HERE.

Humor and Inspiration

That’s the blend I deliver from the stage when I’m invited to speak. At corporate events, I have the joy of showing my audience how to overcome obstacles and reach success. In women’s conferences, I use God’s Word to illustrate that problems can be stepping stones to growth and triumph. And with real-life stories, I show how to draw courage to live with victory.

Write me to learn about the referral program. Should you refer me to a speaking venue and they book me, you receive a portion of the honorarium.

Celebrating a Miracle.

My son Jason returned from a week of treatments for his eyes. As many of you know, he inherited the retinal disease that robbed my sight. But, as always, God was faithful, He allowed 30% to be restored in one eye. And 12% in the other. Now, our prayer is that subsequent treatments continue to restore more of his sight. I ask for your prayers in this regard and for the funds to be available for this treatment. Since its considered an alternative treatment, traditional health insurance does not cover them. But I count on God who’s our divine provider.

New Book - your help is needed.

Can you help me? I’m working on the outline of a new book. So, if you have read my previous books, please tell me what you liked about them? Or even better, tell me what you would like to read to make your life richer, better and perhaps easier. Would love to have your input!

Praying for you.

As always, it's my privilege to pray for you, and with you. Please send your requests to me HERE.
