My Sunday school ladies and I sat around the table at my home. We ate, commented about the various dishes, shared and laughed.
And as part of the fun, we played the game of “stealing” gifts from one another. We oohed and aahed when we opened the gift we chose. And quickly we became delighted with it. But that satisfaction only lasted until we saw another gift we liked better.
Isn’t life like that? We’re content with what we have till someone has something better.
I pray this Christmas contentment fills your heart, gratitude hovers over your conversations, and what visits your home often is joy, sweet, lasting joy.
