Happy Saturday reader!

Video of the Week: It’s Halloween. And in this video, I dressed up. But more than that, how I wish this scene was part of real life—to be truly in His presence. My part is in the first few seconds, can you see me? Tell me what you think. CLICK HERE.

Well, this past Friday, the 27th was my birthday. And I remember many years ago when I hit 30, I smiled when I blew out the birthday candles, but inside I was bummed. The realization I was getting older stared at me in the mirror.

But then something wonderful happened; I lost my sight at 31. It was beautiful. It was. You see, though my physical vision closed, God opened my spiritual eyes. With Jesus as the Lord of all in my life, heaven was guaranteed. I chose to fix my eyes on that truth.

And guess what? Every birthday after that has been a step closer to an eternity of joy, no more tears, no more I can’t eat that or I’ve got to exercise more. Instead, in heaven, there will be food galore, calories vanished, only joy, only pleasant moments, only singing and lots of dancing and glorious reunion with all our loved ones. What a party.

I praise God with each birthday…the destination is getting closer. And because of that, this last birthday celebration was fabulous.
