Video of the Week: What name tag do you wear? When folks ask you what you are…what is your response? Watch this TWO-MINUTE VIDEO for insight.

Today’s “in the news” section is brought to you by my friend Cindi.

Like many of you, we enjoyed one more holiday tradition…welcoming the new year with friends and family. Some great food, a fun time playing games, watching Janet’s parents run up the stairs at midnight (a Bolivian tradition signifying the climb up to prosperity for the new year), and, of course, a little dancing.

And at the stroke of midnight it became 2017.

While some people make resolutions of change for the new year, others look at it as a new beginning. A fresh start. The Bible also talks about change, a profound change for the person who turns their life over to Christ. “When someone becomes a Christian [a Christ-follower], he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17 TLB)

Take heart, dear ones. There is great hope in becoming a follower of Christ. So this year, instead of resolutions that may fail, make a change…and experience a fresh start. Whether you are currently a Christ follower who needs to turn back to Him or someone seeking Him for the first time, there is a new life waiting for you and it’s found only in Him.

 Words of Inspiration

"Making resolutions for the New Year with a change of heart is like making a sand castle hoping it will be there the next morning.”

May I pray for you?

This New Year is a mystery and the next day is unknown to all of us. But what’s certain is that God answers prayer. Please send me your requests and I’ll lift them up before the Lord.. Just send them HERE.

How to turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Guilty. Self-pity nearly won. There was a time in my life when I felt unworthy and useless like the pulp my juicer spits out. Memory of that season rushed in when my friend and I had lunch last week. “You won’t believe it,” she said.., “After I juice, I use the pulp to sprinkle on my salads…it turns out delicious!” …
